v4.00 |
Record every change to your data automatically. Audit trail and recover deleted data.
|
When a user says “I didn’t do THAT!”, how can we know it is true? |
When he said “Some records are missing”, our question is: Were they loaded and erased, or they never existed? |
I accidentally erased a record… Can I recover it? |
Why is there a difference in the stock? |
Who on Earth lowered the sales price? |
FullRecord allows the recording of ALL the operations on your file system and therefore easily answering all these questions and many more! You are covered in any aspect that involves lack of confidence from your customer; with FullRecord you can prove your user what happened with his data. You can recover lost or deleted information, analyze operation sequences to optimize the system work, find operational errors and educate the user to improve the use of the system, and even detect data sabotage attemps. FullRecord audits all file add, change, and delete operations, even hand coded ones!
FullRecord can save either the full record for fast operation, only the changed fields, or a mix of both. Also, it can set what files to audit on run-time (so you can set different setups for different customers).
The global variables needed are defined in your own dictionary (you can copy and paste them from the examples, or import them from the TXD provided), so you can customize the system to work with any security system that provides a user identification (user name, user number, etc.), which will be registered in the audit file with each record. | ||
You don't need to record all the files? No problem. You can select to record all the fields of all the files of your system with just one click, and you can also select which files to record to the audit file (see the on-line documentation, in PDF format too), therefore you can select just one file if you need only that. |
||
The "field" inspector window allows you to see the history of any particular field of any window. |
||
Features |
FullRecord is fully automatic and audits any file write access (either ABC or Legacy, even hand code) without need of any additional effort. In other words, it intercepts ADD(), PUT() and DELETE() without you doing anything! |
It can record the operations from any type of file (ISAM, SQL (*), even IMDD if needed). |
The auditing file may be ISAM (tested with Topspeed and Btrieve) or SQL (tested with Pervasive SQL, MSSQL and FIREBIRD via ODBC). |
Compatible with IPDriver. |
DIM fields are supported (Full 4 dimensions support). |
OVERed fields are supported. |
BLOB fields are supported. |
Supports unlimited memos per file. |
Unlimited recover (undelete) capability (one record at a time). |
Special support for recovering SQL autonumber records. |
Support for automatically generated GUID identified records. |
Keeps track of undeletes. |
Compress audit data for saving disk storage space when in full record mode. We verified a 60% of space saving with a 2 millon records audit file. |
You can save assorted information in the audit file (like for example local variables, or custom messages indicating events). |
Centralized audit file; There is only ONE file for auditing storage for all the files. A few other auxiliary files are needed for historical, messages and undeleting tracking purposes. |
No local code generated for your procedures to decide what to audit. Your program won't break because of FullRecord! |
No decisions are made at the moment of the auditing, and just one audit record is saved per operation (In full record mode; two records for "change" operations). FullRecord is as FAST as possible! |
It works with very large DCTs (tested with 950+ files, and 1700+ fields in a single file) |
All texts in a TRN file for easy translation (currently shipping with English, Spanish, Portuguese and French translation). |
Template "basic" and "advanced" interface to cut the clutter of default options. You can pick a few options of the "basic" interface and make it work, or go in deep customization of your needs with the "advanced" interface. |
Examine the audited data in useful ways; "Field" inspect window (to see the history of a particular field), "Record" inspect window (to see the history of a particular record) and general Audit Browse.
|
You can check the demo right now. Try to change, add or delete some records (you may even try the cascading delete) and then check out the "Inspector" window. There is no code in that window, is 100% template code. You can check the template usage by reviewing the on-line reference (in PDF format too). We are waiting for your comments! |
Audit Pack (Combine FullRecord with NeatMessage) |
FullRecord works with the message box replacement from NeatMessage, recording every message the user sees and their answers if one is required. In the demo, try to enter a Form, change something and then hit Cancel. Then you can see in the inspector window the message and the response. Save US$ 24 with this bundle! |
Support Pack (FullRecord + NeatMessage + PrintWindow + WindowID + FileTuner) |
The complete support solution. Records your user file changes and messages. Print your user windows, and obtain precise information about what window your user is using. New!! Now help to fix your user's files on-site with FileTuner. |

(*) SQL back-end operations like cascade engine updates and stored procedures cannot be audited, as they are out of the control of the Clarion program. |
Notes: Initial purchase price guarantees 1 year of revisions, upgrades and support. Support is given for the last patch of each Clarion 6.x, 7.x versions and up. The registration of messages to users and their answers will work only combined with NeatMessage, thus the bundle offer. |

"Thanx for the template. It's great. Just what I need to screw the users blaming my systems for changing and deleting data. It's paid for it self in the first day of being implemented. Love it." - Raymond Dummer (South Africa) |
"I can confirm that this isn't unusual for Jorge. He takes great care of his customers, even when the requests are out of the ordinary. Jorge made a few changes to FullRecord (within a day) to accommodate a special need I had, and made sure that everything then worked perfectly. Good template, good support, good price too!" - Pete Harder (USA) |
